Freelance Chair
Type of position: Regular volunteer
Term: One year, renewable
Job description
The Freelance Chair is responsible for managing freelancer-related activities at the chapter level and relaying freelancer-related news from AMWA national. The Chair also serves as a liaison between AMWA national and freelance members at AMWA GCAC on freelancer-related topics.
General responsibilities
- Attend all board meetings and the annual member business meeting
- Develop at least 1 freelancer-specific program per year
- Work with Events Chair to organize freelancer events and with Communications Chair to announce freelancer events and news via MailChimp
- Stay up to date with topics relevant for freelancers
Time commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours per month
