Past Communications Volunteer
Volunteering with AMWA-GCAC allowed me to expand my network and give input into educational events. It was a great way to give back without an overwhelming time commitment. I was able to also bounce ideas off fellow writers and get better insight into the profession.

Volunteering for the AMWA-GCAC chapter allowed me to connect and work with many colleagues with varied expertise and levels of experience across the field of medical writing, which was a valuable opportunity early on as someone trying to enter the field. Additionally, I was able to hone my teamwork and writing and communication skills through participation in organizing virtual networking events and webinars, as well as the biennial chapter conference with the board members’ guidance along the way.
